AN historical venue has been rewarded for its work working providing hands-on experiences for youngsters.
Burghley House, in Stamford, scooped an Investors in Education award at a Lincolnshire and Rutland Education Business Partnership prize-giving ceremony at Lincoln's Drill Hall.
The Investors in Education initiative recognises employers for their efforts in providing work-related opportunities for young people, helping boost the educational experience.
Hundreds of business expressing an interest in being assessed to receive the accolade – with the Mercury receiving an Investors in Education award.
Oakham's Adams & Sons, Barnsdale Lodge Hotel and RPC Containers received the award, as well as Hindmarch & Co in Stamford, and the Garden Hotel, in Uppingham.
