A WELL-known builders firm has scooped an accolade for its work boosting career prospects for young people.
Stamford-based business Vic Couzens has been awarded an Investors In Education prize for its efforts providing work experience opportunities and linking up with schools and colleges to offer career opportunities.
The company officially received the accolade from the county's Education Business Partnership at a ceremony in Lincoln.
The partnership's chief executive Elaine Lilley said: "The company has demonstrated its commitment to working in partnership with Lincolnshire and Rutland schools."
The man behind the long-established business, Vic Couzens, says he is delighted to have received the reward.
He put the success down to offering people from all walks of life opportunities to learn and work at the firm.
"We've had people come and do work experience who have not been particularly good at school and we give them encouragement," he said.
