A NEW insurance brokers has opened in Stamford.
Kevin Lomas, who worked as a Co-op insurance agent in Stamford for 10 years, has set up his own firm in Green Lane, Stamford.
He said: "I am trying to provide the people of Stamford and the surrounding area with a very personal face to face service.

"This may sound like an
old- fashioned thing to do, but I know a majority of people are fed up with having to deal with a call centre and many people don't
trust the internet."
He can arrange insurance for households, vehicles and commercial premises such as shops, offices, factories and warehouses.

FARM prices are rocketing says a property consultancy firm.
Strutt and Parker, which has a base in Tinwell Road, Stamford, says good quality arable land is selling for between £6,500 and £10,000 in some cases.
The lack of available farms is due to increased confidence among farmers arising from big rises in commodity prices during 2007.
