FOR the first time in its 16 year history organisers of an employment law breakfast briefing have had to set up a waiting list for places.
The 200 places at the event, being hosted by Anne Corder Recruitment and Hegarty LLP Solicitors on Thursday were filled even before the RSVP date. A waiting list has now been set up.
Anne said: "The breakfast briefing has always been a very popular
event in the business calendar but this year we have been overwhelmed by the response.
"We are delighted that so many people recognise the benefits of the seminar and replied early to secure their place."
The agenda for this year's seminar, aimed at HR personnel and business people, features presentations and discussions on holiday rights, and the laws governing sex discrimination and disability discrimination.
Employment partners Martin Bloom and Tim Thompson from Hegarty LLP Solicitors will be the experts providing current information and advice and taking questions.
The event is being staged at the Cambridge Suite at the East of England Showground in Peterborough.
Employers wishing to be added to the waiting list for a place, for which there is no charge, should contact Carrie at ACR on 01733 319888 or e-mail carrie@ annecorder.co.uk

A TIMBER company has signed its biggest ever contract.
Kestrel Timber Frame, a manufacturer of timber frames for buildings based at Spitfire Park industrial estate in Market Deeping, has agreed to supply Bourne-based Larkfleet Homes with 113 timber frames for homes being built in Eye, near Peterborough.
The company has already secured business with a number of regional building companies and developers providing timber frames for homes and commercial buildings across the East of England and East Midlands.
Kestrel spokesman Paul Adams said: "This type of large volume order from a house builder that is continuing to produce and sell homes despite the current difficulties in the housing industry is clearly good news, especially for a young company like Kestrel as we seek to build our business."
All Kestrel's timber comes from guaranteed sustainable forest sources.
