A FARMING suppliers based in Stamford has appointed a new managing director.
CWG, which operates in Uffington Road, has announced the appointment of Nick Kirby after executive chairman Richard Milligan-Manby stood down to resume a non-executive chairman role.
AN ENGINEER has been awarded a fellowship by the Institution of Civil Engineers.
Stephen Fraser, pictured below, has received the iInstitution's highest honour, which is given only to those people who have made a significant contribution to the profession.
Mr Fraser, 47, chairman and managing director of Smithers Purs-low of Glaston, consulting eng-ineers and surveyors, said: "I think the main reason for the fellowship was in recog-nition of my work as a professional reviewer for the institution.
"I've been doing that for about nine years, and last year became lead reviewer."
Smithers Purslow deals with new- build designs and carries out struct-ural improvements to historic build-ings, including Burghley House, along with conservation work.
Mr Fraser, of Roman Bank, Stamford, is married with three children. He is an RFU qualified coach and a member of Rotary.
