A LEADING politician spoke to business leaders in Uppingham last week.
Vince Cable, deputy leader of the Liberal Democrats, was the guest speaker at a Biz Club supper evening held at Uppingham School.
Mr Cable proved himself an accomplished and interesting speaker on the economy and the true impact it could have on small to medium businesses. He also took part in a lively question and answer session during the evening.
Geoffrey Pointon, chairman of the Biz Club said: "He was invited to attend in January and we were delighted he accepted our invitation.
