VISITORS will be able to learn about local food and how to make a bird box during a forthcoming festival.
Peterborough Green Festival runs between Saturday, May 24, and Sunday, June 8, and will be promoting environmentally friendly measures.


The event will include locally sourced food stalls, entertainment and music along with nature walks, competitions and advice.

The festival will be launched on May 24 in Cathedral Square from 10am.

A number of city venues will also be hosting events throughout the week including Peterborough Museum, Railworld in Oundle Road, Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust at Welney Wetland Centre, Queen-sgate Shopping Centre, Boardwalks Local Nature Reserve and Stanground Newt Ponds.
