Chance to nominate community heroes for Good Citizens Award

Kind-hearted residents in Lincolnshire are to be celebrated, as the popular Good Citizens Awards return for 2013.

The awards being run by Liuncolnshire County Council is a chance for the public to nominate those who give up their time for free to help others and the community, who do not get the recognition they deserve.

County council vice-chairman Charlotte Farquharson said: “This is your chance to highlight the work of extraordinary people across the county, whose voluntary contributions have made a noticeable difference to local life. They don’t do it for reward, but the hugely positive impact they have in their communities should be recognised.”

The awards come in three categories: Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year (aged 16 or below), and Community Group of the Year.

For more information and to make a nomination online see: www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/goodcitizensawards

The closing date for entries is April 26.
