Transatlantic treat for children

PRIMARY school pupils got the chance to see how computer games were made during a school trip.
The school’s news club at Brooke Hill Primary School in Oakham visited Education City in Saddlers Court, Oakham, which creates the online learning and teaching resources that are used in the school.
As part of the tour the group learnt how to make Education City and even got to speak to staff in the company’s American office in Chicago.
Marketing executive Sayle Davis said: “The staff all loved having the children in and really enjoyed talking to them. It was interesting to have a students’ perspective of Education City.”
The news club will write about their visit in the next edition of the school newsletter and on the school’s website.
Teacher Lynn Hall said: “The children had a superb time and enjoyed it all.
“Thank you very much to the Education City team who really inspired the children and gave them a fun but worth while afternoon.”
