Nursing home residents took a trip to the past for a wartime cocktail party.

Priory Court Care Home, in Priory Road, Stamford, held a 1940s-style party for residents on Saturday.

More than 30 residents, family and staff attended, dressing up in period clothing and enjoying a song and dance.

The party lasted for two hours and was followed by supper.

Activities co-ordinator Cally Ward said: “It was great to see the residents enjoying themselves, dancing and singing to music that clearly brought back many happy memories. It was a wonderful afternoon.”
