Obituary: Brian Henson
Brian Henson, of High Street, Swinstead, died suddenly at Lincoln Hospital, aged 74.
He was born in Peter-borough and on leaving school at the age of 15 gained his City and Guild qualification as a carpenter/joiner.
He married Heather in 1959 and served his National Service with the RAF for two years. He then became a sub-contractor and later set up his own building business, building houses in Northorpe and Bourne, including his own bungalow on South Road, which was once Hereward watercress beds.
On his retirement he moved to Corby Glen and later Swinstead.
The funeral took place at Grantham Crematorium. Donations were made to the Air Ambulance and Cancer Research.
Family mourners included: Heather Henson (widow), Melanie and Brian Dunn, Gary and Anita Henson, grandchildren, Emma and Ryan Dunn and Natasha Henson; Jean Anton, Brenda and Dereck.
