Fates and fairs this weekend (July 5th and 6th)...
Bourne

FLYING owls, a hip-hop demonstration and Hereward Radio's Black Thunder team will be among the attractions at the Bourne Abbey Primary School PTFA summer fayre Saturday July 5th from 3pm.

The event will be opened by the
local mayor and there will be stalls, performances by the school choir and orchestra, a country dancing display and refreshments. Top prize in the raffle is £250 cash. An early evening ceilidh and barbecue will follow.

Oakham

OAKHAM CE Primary School in Burley Road has a summer fair Saturday July 5th from 11am-2pm. Attractions include a barbecue, bouncy castle, family assault course, stalls, games, refreshments and a grand draw.

FRIENDS Of Southfield School have their annual Summer Fayre and car boot sale at the Oakham primary school Saturday July 5th from 11.30am-1.30pm. There will be a barbecue, games for all the family, cake, craft and gift stalls and a bouncy castle. Pitches for the car boot £5 – call 07746 007156.

Langham

THIS isn't just any craft fair – it's the Langham WI Craft Fair!
The popular event is being held in Langham Village Hall Friday July 4th from 7pm. On sale will be a selection of crafts, hand-made cards, jams and preserves, plants and produce, Fair Trade goods, jewellery and stationery. Admission is £2.50 – to include a glass of wine and nibbles – and proceeds will go to Dr Gray's emergency response team and WI funds.

Deeping St James

THE ANNUAL Strawberry Fayre is being held at the Roman Catholic Church in Hereward Way, Deeping St James Saturday July 5th from 2-4pm. Attractions include strawberry and cream teas and a £250 cash prize draw.

Glinton

GLINTON pre-school group is holding a summer fete at the village college on Sunday July 6th from 2-4pm with a barbecue, bar, stalls, games and a bouncy castle.

Northborough

NORTHBOROUGH School summer fayre and car boot sale is Saturday July 5th from 2-4pm. A whole host of attractions include children's games and amusements, craft stalls, a raffle and tombola, a bouncy slide, face-painting, a barbecue and refreshments.

Great Casterton

GREAT Casterton Church Summer Fete is in the church hall Saturday July 5th from 2pm. There will be all sorts of traditional games for all ages, a raffle and tombola, book, cake and bric a brac stalls and refreshments.

Ryhall

RYHALL and Belmesthorpe with Essen-dine Church Fete is on Ryhall Meadows playing field Saturday July 5th. The event will be opened at 2pm by Chris Overend and attractions include stalls, games, donkey rides, competitions, a dog show and a grand draw with £100 top prize.
