IT'S Stamford Festival time – and as usual there's a host of events and activities lined up. Here's a full list of all the events.
Saturday
Flea market at the Recreation Ground, Stamford, 7.30am-4.30pm.
Parade of floats through Stamford, 2pm-3pm, followed by arena events kicking off at 3.15pm and prize presentation at 4.15pm at the Recreation Ground.
RAF flypast at 1.20pm
Town Hall, St Mary's Hill open day, 10am-4pm.
Sunday, June 28
Stamford and District Lions Family Fun Day supporting the Armed Forces Day, 10am-4.30pm, with car boot sale from 8am. Baby show judging from 1pm.
Burghley Park Race. Registration from 9am-10.15am. Under 16s 1.5km race from 10.30am with adults 5km race at 11am. Entry £1 for under 16s and £3 for adults.
Festival cribbage competition, Stamford AFC ground, Wothorpe Road, 3pm. Admission £2.
Churches Together and drum head service, Recreation Ground, 4.30pm.
Festival general knowledge quiz, Newage Sports and Social Club, Blackfriars Street, 7.30pm, £5 per team.
Tuesday, June 30
Stamford Bowls Club open day, Exeter Gardens, 2- 8pm.
Senior citizens evening,
Newage Sports and Social Club, Blackfriars Street, 7.30pm. For free ticket contact Carol Harkness on 01780 482513. Booking essential.
Pushpenny World Championships, preliminary rounds from 8pm at: The Jolly Brewer, The Hit or Miss, St Mary's Vaults, The Hurdler, Blackstones Social Club.
Thursday, July 2
Stamford Bowls Club open day, Exeter Gardens, 2pm to 8pm.
Festival dominoes pairs tournament, Newage Sports and Social Club, Blackfriars Street, 7.45pm, £1.
Friday, July 3
Pushpenny world championships final, The Jolly Brewer, £1.
Saturday, July 4
Riverside Music Festival, Stamford Meadows, 1-11pm.
Town Hall open day, 10am-4pm.
Sunday, July 5
Transport show, Recreation Ground, Stamford, 11am to 4pm.
Free admission
Stamford Festival Netball Tournament, Stamford High School courts, Kettering Road, 10am to 4pm.
