I think Network Rail should think about its duties under the Disability Discrimination Act and Equality regulations.
Rail travel is a great way to get around the country and as a wheelchair user I know from experience that the assistance services provided for getting on and off trains usually work well but it is really annoying to have to drive to Peterborough, park there then drive back from there at the end of a day out when the train will pass through Stamford if going to Leicester, Nottingham, Birmingham, Manchester etc.

As a past mayor I would hope our town councillors would press more positively for disabled access not only to the station, but to other venues in town such as restaurants, dentists etc. as access to some of these is difficult or impossible.
