I attended a meeting at Blackstones Social Club on Thursday November 4, to express my feelings and concerns about the mobile phone mast which is to be erected above the floodlights by O2.
I said about my concerns for the health of the children playing five aside football, up to 40 or 50 at a time, and also the fun days with parents and children who attend.

All I got in reply is they stand to get a substantial amount of money if this gets the go-ahead.

Asking about feelings for residents in the area who were approached for donations and support to save the ground from being built on by Stamford Homes, I got the feeling they are not bothered at all.

Asking for a show of hands only one person will see the mast from their house, the rest of the committee get in their cars and drive home, then it will be out of sight out of mind.
