I would like to respond to the replies written regarding my letter published on the October 31.
The letter was in fact written with one high street store in mind.

Unfortunately it was not possible to publish the name of the store for legal reasons.

My opinions regarding this particular store still stand, and the majority of people I have spoken to since the letter was published still agree.

I too was taught to say please and thank you by my parents and have been brought up with manners, but the older members of staff in this certain store obviously have lost theirs during their years in retail.

I hope the letter made them think about there attitude towards customers.

There are only so many times you can try and make conversation before you feel enough is enough.

Stamford
