Further to Beryl Martin's letter regarding the award for the Gateway Project (Mercury last week).
I too fail to see how removing 35 short term car parking spaces to the detriment of shoppers and traders alike, paving over two access roads to a busy post office depot, causing vehicles and pedestrians to dodge each other and the positioning of a pedestrian crossing point just a few yards from a blind corner can be classed as an 'outstanding design'.
