I would like to thank you for publicising our fund-raising strawberry tea in the Mercury.
The money raised was for East Anglia children's hospices. We held the event, which was supported by more than 80 people, on Wednesday, July 16, holding a raffle and a bring and buy stall.

We were helped on the day by Tracy Burrows, Joyce Bird, Mavis Milller, Jane Davies, Di Jackson, Mary Green and John and Terrie Rogers.

We would like to thank them for their hard work and also the people who supported us at the tea with donations for the raffle and bring and buy. Everyone has been very generous.

The amount raised was £520 for the charity, which is a very worthwhile cause, as we know from personal experience, as our granddaughter, Emily, has respite care there.

This is essential as our daughter and her family need the break.
Emily is well cared for in a well equipped hospice where most of the funding is from charity.

Thank you very much.
