I may have missed the announcement but when will the barricades be coming down from around the sculpture and the tree in Sheep Market?
The summer is almost over and for months we have been looking at this eyesore.

Do we even know who is responsible for sorting this out?

What do readers think about reclaiming our town centre, shall we give the town council or Stamford Vision or whoever until the end of the month to remove the steel work or we do?

I am sure a bunch of residents with spanners and step ladders could safely dismantle it all and stack it out of the way without damaging anything.

So how about it – 10am on Saturday September 6 – let's do what the council seem incapable of.
