THE first 20 years of my life I lived in Oakham and the first 10 years I lived in Mount Pleasant.
I still often visit Oakham and never leave without a walk up my favourite road and sit on the seat halfway up the hill in Mount Pleasant; the same seat that I sat on more than 60 years ago and nothing has changed.

But can someone please tell me why there is a dog poop scoop bin right next to the seat, not very nice sitting there especially if you are eating a sandwich etc. on a hot summer's day.

Surely these bins could have been placed a few metres away from the seat.
