With reference to Rutland Water parking, the arrogance of Anglian Water is breathtaking, not replying to a letter by Rebecca Smith and Dan Baker a spokesman saying no matter what protest is made we won't alter our minds, in effect, take it or leave it.
Well I'll leave it and think that many other locals will do the same.
I feel sorry for the shops and facilities as this is none of their making.

There are huge car parks standing empty, is it a policy to drive people away?

The spokesman says they need the money – have they thought of asking the company for it?

The last profits I could find were for 2006 in which their profit trebled to £109m million.

They clearly need to extract an extra £2 each out of pensioners and single mums.

Why not issue for local pensioners and single mums a car parking pass for a small fee. Some hope!
