In reply to Mrs Johnson's letter about public consultation regarding New College Stamford's revamp.
We were consulted. I attended one of the several information sessions held last autumn.

The principal and some of the staff showed us the plans, explained them and then took questions – all over tea and biscuits!

We were then taken on a walkabout when the revamp was explained even more.

I attended a daytime session, but there were also evening ones and all were publicised in the Mercury and by local flyers.

I felt those with doubts and misgivings were definitely listened to, though I believe attendance was generally low, which is a pity.

The college involves the community as much as it can, or perhaps as much as the community wish?

MISS M GREBBY
Drift Avenue,
Stamford
