Celebration of Charles Dickens on February 9

RUTLAND Library Service is celebrating Charles Dickens’ 200th birthday today with a special evening at the Rutland County Museum.

Three readers from the Dickens Fellowship will read light-hearted extracts from David Copperfield, Martin Chuzzlewit and other works, with anecdotes about his life at 7pm.

This will be followed by a screening of the musical film Oliver at 8.15pm.
