Drop in on stunning snowdrop display

NOW is the perfect time to see some of the area’s best displays of snowdrops.

Visitors to Barnsdale Gardens can enjoy the spring flower event until Sunday next week.

The gardens are bursting with plants and visitors can take advantage of the special 10 per cent discount on all hellebores in the nursery.

Garden admission is £5 (£4) for adults, £1.50 for children and £11 for a family of up to five.

Several acres of snowdrops can be enjoyed by visitors to Deene Park on Sunday.

Head gardener Andrew Jones and his team have been working hard in recent years to build up the spectacular display on offer.

Varieties include the Pusey Green Tip, with its bold green markings on the outer petals, and the Blewbury Tart, which resembles a Victorian ballgown.

The formal gardens close to the house boasts a selection of winter flowering shrubs.

Garden opening times are 11am to 4pm and admission is £4 for adults and free for children. Contact 01780 450278 or visit www.deenepark.com
