Ex-marine Ben to give jubilee lecture
The Rotary Club of Stamford has organised a jubilee charity lecture on Friday November 9 at Stamford School.
Motivational speaker called Ben McBean will be giving a talk. Ben is an ex-marine and his presentation is unbelievably moving and extremely powerful as he describes how he has overcome his disabilities, having had an arm and a leg blown off in Afghanistan.
The club is raising money for Help for Heroes, Polio Plus and local good causes.
Tickets for the lecture, which starts at 7pm, are on sale from the Arts Centre at £10 each.
