Stamford and Rutland bands to play Christmas folk and acoustic gig

Young bands and singers are tuning up for a Christmas gig.

The Tin Pigeons, Harry Ridgway, Laurie Rae and Maddie Rowland and Midnight and The Blue will perform a range of acoustic folk and soul songs at Mama Liz’s in North Street, Stamford, from 8pm on Thursday.

The acts are all based in the Stamford and Rutland area and have been booked by Stamford School pupil Jacob Windsor, who runs unsigned music website NewBorn Sounds.

Laurie Rae, also a Stamford School pupil, said: “It should be a really chilled out night with a fun atmosphere.”

Tickets are £4 on the door or £3 online from www.musicglue.com/newbornsounds/.
