TWO young skaters wowed the crowds and impressed the professionals on the opening night of Holiday on Ice’s - the Passion Tour.

Evie Martin-Cuthbertson, seven, of Holloway Avenue, Bourne, and Eleanor Waldock, nine, of Elizabeth Way, Thurlby, performed a two- minute routine in front of thousands last Thursday night.

The girls were given the chance to skate at the event after winning the Ice Factor competition in Peterborough in November.

Evie’s mother Kelly said: “It was fantastic and a really special night for them.

“It was nerve-wracking for us watching but they weren’t fazed at all and they had a great response from the audience which was lovely.”

The pair were among 40 professional skaters who took to the ice and performed to the music of Barry Manilow for the tropicana themed show.

A Holiday on Ice spokesman said: “It was lovely to see how excited the girls were and how well they performed in front of such a large audience.”
