How to enter
Bands and singers of any genre can send in a short profile and photo together with a web link to your music and contact details to smeditor@stamfordmercury.co.uk. Once all the entries are in people will be able to vote for a winner.
Entries will be accepted until Wednesday, February 29 and voting will open on Friday, March 2.
The band or artist with the most votes at the end of the competition will win a slot on one of the three stages at this year's festival, which will take place on The Meadows on Saturday, July 7.
