A TALENTED art group has exhibited its work to the public.
Bourne and District Art Society held a two-day exhibition at Wake House community centre in North Street to show off its members' work and to offer items for sale.

The exhibition was opened last Friday by Bourne mayor Shirley Cliffe and her consort Cherry Cliffe.

Group member Robbie Britton said: "The mayor was a lovely lady. She was very interested in the group and the work we do, which really makes all the difference.

"The exhibition went very well and we were really pleased with the turnout."

There was a variety of work on exhibition, including oil, pencil drawings, watercolours and acrylics.

The group aims to hold at least two exhibitions a year and Mrs Britton expects the next exhibition to be near Christmas.

Meetings of the group are held between 1pm and 4pm on Thursdays at Wake House.

Anyone who wishes to join the group should go along to a meeting.
