Conman tricks woman, 83

AN ELDERLY woman had cash stolen from her purse by a man posing as a maintenance worker.
The 83-year-old woman, who lives in Main Road in Dyke, near Bourne, let a man into her home after he claimed he needed to come inside and check her taps.

While inside, the conman took a "significant" amount of money from her purse.

The incident took place before 1pm on Wednesday, July 2.

The man is described as medium height.
