A DAD has died four months to the day after his teenage son was killed in a tragic road accident.
Melvin Jepson, 53, collapsed with heart failure outside the front gate of his home in Broadgate Lane, Deeping St James, last Wednesday, January 17. He died in hospital shortly afterwards
He was still mourning the loss of his 17-year-old son Brendon,
who died after his moped was involved in a collision with a car on September 17, 2006.

Their deaths were exactly four months apart, and according to his ex-wife and Brendon's mother Marion Murfet, this was not the only strange co-incidence connecting the two incidents..

"When Melvin collapsed he was on his way back from the shop down the road where he'd been to buy milk," said Mrs Murfet, 46, of Maple Avenue, Thurlby.
"That was exactly what Brendon had been doing just before he died. He'd been to the very same shop to buy the very same thing. It's all quite eerie really."
Mr Jepson, who had a history of heart problems, leaves behind two other sons – Damien, 23, and Gavin, 22.
He was still frail after a triple bypass operation in May but appeared to be making a recovery.
Damien said: "Dad had been too weak to leave the house much since his bypass. It was only just lately he had started to go out to the shop now and again, and we thought he was starting to get better. It has come as a real shock to us."
Police investigating Bren-don's death arrested a 63-year-old man on suspicion of drink-driving before releasing him on bail in September.
A police spokesman said the case file has since been handed to the Crown Prosecution Service, which will decide whether to bring charges against him.
Mrs Murfet, who married Mr Jepson in 1980 before they were divorced 10 years later, said: "The worst thing is that Melvin died not knowing the outcome of Brendon's case and finding out exactly what happened that night."
Mr Jepson's funeral is at
Marholm Crematorium in Pete-rborough on Tuesday at 10am.
