A FAIRTRADE shop will open its doors in Stamford on Monday, February 22.
Greencircle will open in the shop formerly occupied by Nigel Gibson Interiors in St Mary's Street, Stamford.

It will stock a range of products from around the world including hand-carved sculptures from Indonesia and handmade sandals from the Melandi district of Kenya.

As well as giftware, Greencircle will be selling a clothing range and jewellery and it has its own larder, offering Fairtrade and organic grocery essentials.

The shop will open on the first day of Fairtrade fortnight.

Managing director Simon Tee said: "We are delighted to be opening during this important fortnight.

"Stamford as a town already supports the ethos of fair trading wholeheartedly and we are delighted to provide another ethical and conscientious retailer in this important area of commerce."
