Insurance problems delay Eleanor Cross unveiling

PLANS to unveil Stamford's Eleanor Cross are still in limbo, with insurance issues holding up the process.
Construction on the Sheep Market monument, surrounded by a seating area, was finished in July but is cordoned off.
District council economic development officer Nick Vass said the authority was waiting for county highways, which, in turn, was waiting for confirmation from its insurers. "Once that's confirmed we can get on with it," he said.
