Stamford and District Lions once again put on a host of treats during the popular family fun day which is one of the highlights of Stamford Festival.
The town's Recreation Ground was busy throughout Sunday as people went along to enjoy the host of attractions, which included a hydrosphere and display by the bomb disposal squad.
Earlier this year the family fun day looked in doubt after it clashed with the armed forces weekend organised by the Stamford branch of the Royal British Legion.
But the Lions worked with the Legion to support armed forces day and the event proved to be a great success.
Lions president Ian Hall said: "There was a great turn-out and a lot of people were there all day.
"It was an excellent day and good fun."
Children's entertainers Tom and Tilley Turnip delighted the crowds with their three-wheeled car while Icarus falconry display team put on an excellent show.
The RAF Bomb Disposal Squad also put on a display which impressed the crowds and the hydrosphere also proved to be very popular.
Queues of people were seen waiting to walk across a pond in a plastic ball.
The organisers were still busy totalling the amount raised on the day.
Members of Churches Together in Stamford organised an open air service later in the afternoon which also included a drumhead service run by the Legion.
