MP Alan ties knot with his partner

Rutland and Melton MP Alan Duncan tied the knot with his partner James Dunseath at a civil ceremony today.
The shadow business secretary, 50, is the first openly gay Tory MP to enter in to a civil partnership.

He announced his bethrothal in the Daily Telegraph after proposing to press officer James Dunseath, 39, on Valentine's Day while holidaying in Oman.

The happy couple's quiet, private civil ceremony took place yesterday morning in London and a reception will take place today.
