A LANDLORD has applied to alter the opening hours of a pub and club as part of his revamp plans.
Charles Mowbray took over The Hole in the Wall and Charlie's Nightclub, Stamford, in September and wants to be able to be open from 8am to 3am daily.
The Cheyne Lane pub and club's current opening hours are midday to midnight between Sunday and Wedn
esday and midday to 2am on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Mr Mowbray, who also owns the nearby Black Bull, says he has to apply to vary his licence in order to be able serve breakfast at the gastro-pub.
The 28-year-old has spent £100,000 in revamping the Hole in the Wall and Charlie's, which have been closed for more than a year.
Mr Mowbray says that alcohol will be available for sale in the morning, if this application is granted, but has stressed that it is not aimed at binge drinkers.
He said: "It has been closed for a year-and-a-half and we have had comments from local traders to say that it is nice to have people in the area again.
"We are not aiming to become a 24-hour drinking place, it is more for the discerning customer."
Mr Mowbray has turned the Hole in the Wall into a steak and fish house while Charlie's will be hosting a student night on Thursdays and will be only open to over 21 over Fridays and Saturdays.
