A SNAKE, frog and cockroach were just some of the creatures what greeted pupils at Edenham Primary School for an event bringing science to life.
The school had a visit from Scifest on Tuesday an educational body which uses hands-on activities to engage youngsters with the world of science.

Schoolchildren were given the chance to see close up the wonders of biology, with many youngsters holding a wriggling millipede and an uncoiling snake, while a talk was given about the animals.

Teaching assistant Rose Marsden said the pupils had been enthralled by the learning initiative.

She said: “It was an opportunity for them to see science in the flesh and it brought everything alive. The children were hands-on and able to ask lots of questions.”
