Hospital chiefs say they were pleased with the results of a patients survey.
The results showed most people had a "positive" experience when dealing with Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals NHS Trust.
The trust came in the best performing 20 per cent in eight of the 72 questions that made up the national survey. It scored in
the intermediate 60 per cent on 58 of the questions, and was among the bottom 20 per cent on six questions.
Patient privacy, mixed-sex use of bathrooms and shower areas, and the length of time patients were on the waiting list for treatment were among the questions where the trust scored in the bottom 20 per cent.
But the trust came in the best performing 20 per cent in questions including patients' perception of whether nurses washed their hands between touching patients, patients having somewhere to store personal belongings on the ward, patients not being bothered by noise at night, information about their conditions given to patients in the emergency department and information about anaesthetics, post operative procedures and medications to take home.
The trust's director of nursing, Chris Wilkinson, said: "Overall it is very pleasing to see positive patient experiences. It is disappointing not to score so well in other categories."
l Tours and demonstrations are among the events planned at Stamford Hospital's open day on Saturday, July 5.
Between 11am to 3pm, when visitors will be able to enjoy some department tours, displays and a pathology demonstration.
The trust also hopes to hold a public meeting later in the year to give presentations and information on the hospital.
