A TEA party to raise money for an animal charity made £225.
Animates Veterinary Clinic in Thurlby held a cake sale on Friday last week to raise money for the Blue Cross animal charity, which supports pet owners by helping to provide veterinary treatment.
Amanda Baker, one of the organisers, said: "It went brilliantly well thanks to the generosity of our clients. We are very pleased with the amount we raised.
"Quite a few of our clients donated cakes and those that weren't able to contributed in other ways."
The cake sale is the first of its kind at the clinic, but Amanda said she would consider other events in the future.
She said: "We would like to do something like this again because we were able to raise so much money and we would like to put forward our thanks to all of the clients who helped us."
