TWO parked cars were broken into last week.
On Tuesday a handbag was stolen from a car parked at Barnsdale Wood between 2.30pm and 3.15pm.

A woman reported seeing two people watching her from another car before she left her own vehicle.

And on Thursday evening a grey Volvo parked in Hambleton had a window smashed and its boot panel damaged.

It happened between 6.15pm and 6.30pm but nothing was stolen.

Police are warning people to be vigilant when parking their cars and not leave valuables on show.
