TALENTED young artists are invited to design a poster that will be used for a Respect Rutland campaign.
The poster will be used as a backdrop for all anti social campaigns throught the forthcoming next year.
Drawings, cartoons or computer graphics – any form of artwork is suitable but they must clearly illustrate what is anti social behaviour and how
it affects people's lives in Rutland.
The overall winner will have their artwork reproduced as publicity material for the Rutland Community Safety Partnership, which is made up of councils, police, and other local organisations.
The campaign will begin with posters and a banner stand to be shown throughout Rutland. The winner's name will be printed on the materials.
The competition is open to any young person aged between 11 and 19 living in Rutland. The prize for the winning poster will be a Nintendo Wii donated by Wilkinsons. Two second place runners up will each receive an iPod Shuffle, with three third prizes of £25 vouchers.
There is no limit to the number of entries, but all artwork must be submitted on separate sheets of plain white A4 paper, portrait rather than landscape, with a blank background. On the back of the artwork you must write clearly your name, address, age and date of birth.
All entries must be sent either via post to The Community Safety Team, Rutland County Council, Catmose, Oakham, Rutland, LE15 6HP or via email tocommunitysafety@rutland.
gov.uk. All entries must be received prior to the deadline which is 4.30 pm, Monday, June 9.
Shortlisted entries in the Respect Rutland Poster Competition will be invited to attend an Awards Ceremony at Rutland County Council on Wednesday, June 18.
