CREATIVE Deepings residents raised £445 for charity.

The biannual Deeping Dabble Day at Riverside Crafts in the Antique and Craft Centre, Market Deeping, last weekend attracted 50 people to try their hand at jewellery and card making and Fimo clay modelling.

The money raised will be donated to Sue Ryder Care.

Donna McKean-Smith, who runs Riverside Crafts, said: “It was a good turnout and a fabulous day. People of all ages turned out to try their hand at a few crafts, and they all took away something they’d made.”

Two dabble days have been held every year in Market Deeping for the last eight years. The next event is scheduled for October.
