AN AFTERNOON tea party at a clothes and accessories shop was held yesterday (Sunday).

Ruby Loves in Crown Walk, Stamford, held the event to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Dozens of women attended the afternoon tea party and enjoyed a cup of tea or a glass of bubbly and homemade cakes.

There was also a raffle with items donated by some of the companies and designers, which the shop stocks.

Manager of Ruby Loves Jodi Pape said the money raised was still being counted but she hoped it would be more than £200.

She said: “It was a really lovely afternoon and I think all the ladies who came enjoyed themselves.

“I think it is definitely something we would look to do again because there was a fantastic buzz in the shop and it was great to be able to raise some money for charity.”
