Almond Court Art Group’s first exhibition proves a great success

Artist from an amateur group based in Thurlby have put on the first major exhibition of their work.

The show by Almond Court Art Group took place at the Darby and Joan Hall in South Street, Bourne, on Saturday and showcased the work of nine artists.

Most of the works were watercolours and several pieces were sold.

Group founder Meg Biggs said: “We are really happy with how it went. “

The exhibition was not a money raising endeavour; however proceeds from the sale of refreshments will go back into the art group’s activities.

The group meets at Almond Court from 1pm to 3pm on Wednesdays and from 1pm to 5pm on Thursdays.
