A CHARITY ball was a success and raised more than £21,000.

Anna’s Hope, which is based in Stamford, held its sixth annual ball at the Haycock Hotel in Wansford.

The money raised will go towards funding a children’s neuro-oncology rehabilitation service at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge, which will be the first in the country.

The charity helps children and young people with brain tumours and founder Carole Hughes, whose daughter Anna died from a brain tumour, thanked everyone for their support.
