A GIRL guide gave a presentation to a club about her trip to Belarus.

The Rotary Club of Bourne listened to Annabel Christie, from the 1st Bourne Division (Senior Section) of the Bourne Guides, about the international jamboree she attended in Minsk during the summer.

Annabel talked to members and showed them slides during the latest club meeting held at The Wishing Well pub in Dyke on Tuesday last week.

The club, which contributed to her expenses for the event which she attended with others from South Lincolnshire, enjoyed her presentation about her cultural experience.

This visit to Minsk was part of an exchange programme set up 19 years ago with Belarus.

Rotarian John Lyon, of West Road, Bourne, said it was a lovely evening.

He said: “Rotarian Mike Dunn proposed a vote of thanks to Annabel and she was warmly applauded for the very positive and enthusiastic way she presented full details of her memorable visit.”
