AN annual gala was held on Saturday in aid of a day centre.
The Friends of the Butterfield Centre organised the fundraising event, which took place at Bourne Abbey Church Hall.
There were cream teas for the visitors to enjoy, as well as stalls selling books, bric-a-brac, jams and preserves, cakes and homemade cards.
There was also a tombola and the grand raffle was drawn during the event.
It raised £360 which will go to the Butterfield Centre in North Road, Bourne.
Dr Michael McGregor, who is chairman of the Friends of the Butterfield Centre, was one of the organisers.
He said it was a “pleasant day”.
Dr McGregor said: “We had a very successful day.
“Although we didn’t attract a big crowd, we did manage to raise £360 which doesn’t include the money from the raffle.
“It was a very nice day in terms of the weather which helped with the numbers.”
He said the friends had been planning to hold more games outside but because of a lack of helpers that wasn’t able to happen.
But he added: “Considering that it was a low-key event, it went very well and it was certainly worth the while doing.
“We were pleased.”
Dr McGregor thanked those that did help on the day as well as everyone who had supported the day by offering prizes and goods for sale.
