A WOODLAND has been given Visit England’s seal of approval.
Fineshade Wood, near Duddington, has passed the Visitor Attraction Quality Assurance Scheme, which is run by Visit England.
The assessment looks at the whole visitor experience, including phone calls, the website and atmosphere, cleanliness, signage, food, retail and the activities on offer at the venue.
New play equipment was also praised, as was the new Fineshade Cycle Centre run by Rutland Cycling.
Visitor and community service manager Sarah Walker said everyone worked hard to make sure the wood was a great place to visit.
