THE winners of a competition will give an exhibition in Oakham next week.
More than 50 artists exhibited at Art in Lyddington in November and competition judges chose two winners, who were Jan Burridge, from Burley-on-the-Hill, and Scott Bridgwood, from Leicester.
The people’s choice winner was a painting of Eyebrook sculpture by Simon Sharp, of Stamford.
They won the chance to exhibit for a week in the Victoria Hall gallery in High Street, Oakham, which will start on Monday and is open 10am until 4pm.
Jan has been working with ceramic for 15 years and her current one-off series of figurative scultpures will be on display.
Painter Simon is director of the Leonardo Centre gallery in Uppingham School.
His work is andscapes, which is what he will be focusing on in the exhibition.
As well as giving local artists the opportunity to showcase their work, Art in Lyddington, also raised £1,700 towards the maintenance of the village church.
It will run again this year in December.
