AN ARTIST from Northorpe has been going from door to door in neighbouring villages to tell people about her new magical exhibition taking place this weekend.

Artist Kate Fensom is displaying her work at The Toft House Hotel tomorrow, from 7pm and from 11am - 6pm on Sunday.

The exhibition, called Enchantments, includes paintings, prints, books, sculpture and poetry by Kate, Carlos Dare and Max Dane.

Kate said: “I am trying to reach out to the people in Bourne and the surrounding area.

“I have got people who come to these exhibitions from all over the country, more so than people from the local area, and I would like a more equal balance.

“I think it is good for the soul to reconnect with the area you are from.”

Despite Kate spending much of her time in Cyprus she still has a strong connection to the area.

Having visited and met the people who run the Exotic Pet Refuge in Deeping St James, Kate agreed to donate 10 per cent of the money from each print she sells of her animal inspired painting,The Ark, to the charity.
